  7. I could *never* deal with all of those faces staring at me if I were seen wearing a bootleg shirt, which is why all (read: too many) of my PT shirts have been purchased either from the online store or the merch booth at shows.

...which leads to faces like those from my Better Half, who reminds me that "You're been going to concerts since you were 12 (first one: The Who's first reunion tour in '98), still own ALL of the clothing you've purchased at the majority of shows, and don't wear them nearly enough!" Okay, now I'm not *sure* which would be worst... ;-)

  9. They should have brought original merchandise, I would have bought it ):

  10. By the way, I wonder if you're getting a bad impression of us Mexicans... although you ask not to take photos or video at the live shows, people did, and at the Q&A session in Mexico City for Insurgentes they were pretty disrespectful :/

And just so you know, I was there in Monterrey, on the front row! is the best show I have ever been to so far. And I did NOT buy that awful merch outside the building... not cool. I was expecting to buy the original merch inside, but well...

Anyways, I hope you come back soon!

  11. it is a shame that this is common in Mexico.

Thanks for the Apr 14 show in Mexico City ... absolutely amazing.

  12. Well, we're not proud of that. I was hoping I'd find official merchandise at the end of the concert but didn't.

Though, love your expressions. Hope to see ya soon.

  16. One of the women who where selling these shirts at the mexico gigs, told me they were the "real" thing XD
You could know that was a lie just by looking at the strange desing of the shirts.

One more time, the "piratas" ruin the artist.
    I hate those fake sellers.

  17. Hey Hey, I've bought one of those in Guadalajara, but none of the above. These really look ugly, specially the yellow one, it looks like it just got out of the egg, or yellow bilis.

  18. Ay, caramba! And why is that "yellow" one so dirty already? Nasty stuff!

  19. shame on them... I'm a "new" fan, mexican by the way, living 4 hr drive from mexico city, and attended to your concert on wednesday. AWESOME as usual!
Sadly these are the things that make me so ashamed of my country, of the politicians, and security/police matters.

EDUCATION is the basis. Obviously they don't have any.
Please don't think we're all the same.
Actually, my husband has the special editions of the incident and insurgentes... the BIIIG ones.
    LOVELY!
    Keep coming!
    Alejandra

  20. it´s a shame, i buy all my stuff in PT Store, i´m mexican, and this is unaceptable.

  21. You know what is the worst about this? Those T-Shirts were sold (and probably made) by the company that organized the 4 concerts: OCESA. Very Sad....

  22. Dreadful t-shirts indeed! ugly t-shirt colours, poor quality prints, even the letter fonts were kinda odd. I was expecting some official merch stand inside Escenica but I guess I have to buy it from the PT online store.
Awesome concert thought! One of the best concerts I´ve been to.

  27. i am very angry, i bought a red t-shirt INSIDE teatro metropolitan, mexico city, believing it was official, someone let the bootlegers sell those poor quality shirts inside the theater in stands as the bands do when they bring their official merchandise, i paid $150.00 pesos inside the theather for the t-shirt, to my surprise, the same red t-shirt outside the theater was $100.00 pesos, i felt robbed and cheated thinking i bought an official t-shirt

  28. As said in comments... We apologize for this, we all mexicans are not this way. The best thing to do is to buy the official merchandise in the band's web page. Thanks for comming to Mexico, I waited so long to see you, and finally had the opportunity... It was so great!!!

  29. wow, that's pretty sad. And hilarious, just look at Steve, and Gavin looks sort of "What the hell is this?"

Oh well, I doubt this will hurt you guys, and even then, you will still be the most awesome people on the planet. You would be even more awesome if you came to Adelaide next Aussie tour though!

BTW, sorry about this, guys... the t-shirts were indeed the ONLY bad thing about PT in Mexico!! Come back soon!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Steven looks absolutely disgusted!

  33. Hey guys, when you come to Chile, please let me take some pictures for you. It would be my gift for any album on tour ... By the way, when you come to South America? Regards.-
